I have to confess that I am now beginning to get the itch for a new spring wardrobe. As much as I have loved working my winter looks, I am almost bored to tears of my shoulder padded jackets and studded dresses! However, as I have been browsing the shops sourcing items for my clients, one strong trend that has jumped out at me and excellent for tiding me over for the next month or so until we get into milder temperatures is nude tones.

Rose pinks, soft peach and blush shades are set to be the key colours for S/S10 as a sea of calm colours overtakes the bright, loud tones from last year. Personally I would not bother galloping ahead at this stage and filling your wardrobe to the brim with neutrals otherwise by April you will be totally uninspired when getting dressed in the morning. This is more about picking up a couple of items that you can team with your jeans or jeggins that will have you looking completely current without breaking the bank.

First up is this Sky Dress in Shell Pink by Reiss. Priced at £120 I think it is a great little number for the office that can be worn with black tights and boots for right now but then swapped for bare legs, stacked heeled gladiator sandals and a skinny tan belt come later on.

Diane Von Furstenberg is my most favourite designer and this top availible on www.matchesfashion.com is in the sale for £158. For me I love the ease of this top whether it is with a pair of jeans and little cardigan or tucked into a neat pencil skirt.

Topshop have gone in for nude tones in a big way. Whilst some of their designs are overly fussy and a bit too eighties influenced, I have spotted some great simple knits and tops (like this one) that are again perfect for pairing with jeans and heels for an instant update and dead cheap.

Ok not completely nude and I don’t think the picture does this top the justice it deserves. The butterfly print gives a modern edge to this pretty slightly vintage looking  top that will look amazing with a pair of white jeans and flip flops in the summer but works so well right now with a boyfriend blazer and skinny jeans. The £85 price ticket is definitely money well spent and I have already had a couple of clients purchase this already who have found it to give the wardrobe a really good boost.
